Along with a growing number of retailers, your local Filco store will be supporting the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
The scheme aims to provide customers with hidden disabilities – such as autism, asthma, or chronic illness – a way to let other customers know of their disability discreetly.
For some, their condition may mean they have an exemption and cannot wear a face covering, while others may require seating or a calm environment.
We will be promoting the scheme within our stores so customers with hidden disabilities can identify themselves to members of our team and other customers.
Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower discreetly indicates to customers around you why you (or members of our team) may not be wearing a face covering. It also indicates that customers may need additional support, help or simply a little more time.
